About Me: This is my second (and final) year as a MACSME (Masters and Credential for Science and Mathematics Educators) student with the GSE here at UC Berkeley. I grew up in the SF Bay Area, then went to St. Olaf College in MN for my undergraduate degree, where I double-majored in Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Fine Arts. As suggested by my choice of undergraduate majors, I love to sing, dance, dramatize, photograph, and solve math problems.
Areas of interest: Though it is a massive undertaking, I am interested in ways to teach secondary (middle or high school) mathematics using the fine arts, specifically dance, music, and drama. Can it be done? Can I study it in my brief two year program? I guess I have one year left to find out...
