About Me: I started working on the Seeing Chance project in September 2006, and continued after I graduated in May 2007. My degree is in Cognitive Science with an emphasis in linguistics, and I am most interested in pragmatics and how mathematical knowledge is socially constructed and communicated. I have long been interested in cognition and education, and in 2008 I became part of the first Math for America Los Angeles cohort. I will begin teaching secondary level math in September 2008, while attending the Masters program at Claremont Graduate University.
