About Me: I'm a junior at UC Berkeley, working towards a bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science. I grew up in Silicon Valley--both of my parents are engineers who also went to UC Berkeley. I transfered to UC Berkeley in 2007 after living in Berkeley and Oakland for six years and working as a web developer. I'm currently trying to decide between pursuing graduate studies in math or neuroscience.
Research Interests:
Education--primarily mathematics, but also sciences and general education. I'm especially interested in learning styles, collaboration, intuition, embodied cognition, identity, non-traditional students and critical pedagogy.
Neuroscience--especially music cognition and the brain's specificity for music and musical processing functions, but also emotion, interpersonal relationships, cerebral sensory deficiencies, epilepsy, autism, and consciousness.
I've worked on the Fractal Village project, as well as follow up research on the Seeing Chance project.
