About Me: My name is Mythili and I will be a senior at Northgate High School this fall. I serve as the Associated Student Body Vice President of Curriculum and School Clubs for my high school, teach at the Down Syndrome Connection, as well as coordinate my local Youth Educator Program to help teach drug abuse prevention. I have also started the 75 Survive: Students for Organ Donation club at my high school to promote awareness about the benefits of registering to become an organ donor.
Research Interests: This summer I have the great honor of working with Prof. Abrahamson and his research group on learning more about cognition in mathematics education. I am very interested in understanding how people learn math and science, how the brain evolves, and what are the cognitive scientific and psychological underpinnings of the learning process.
