I was born in southwest England and moved to the Bay Area midway through my high school years. My rather eclectic educational experience (homeschool, online school, community college, and public school) made me appreciate alternative modes of education, and fostered an interest in the phenomenon of learning. Here at U.C. Berkeley, I am currently a first year student pursuing a B.A. in Computer Science. I am interested in the design of new educational technologies, especially as they relate to computer science and math. I am also interested in the cognitive science behind how the human mind manipulates numbers and models mathematical concepts.
