César Botetano

César Botetano is a primary level teacher in Peru. He studied Psychology at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Lima, Peru.

César developed an arithmetic learning method based on the Embodiment Theory, which was applied to several thousand students in Peru, Bolivia, and Mexico. His team worked in a special way with indigenous children from Cusco, and with Shipibo children from the Amazon rainforest of Peru (with a group of them settled in Lima), and achieved excellent results. They also developed a method for learning to read and write that has been applied in Bolivia with good results.

César is convinced that Indigenous children can learn just as well (or perhaps even better!) than non-indigenous children with our embodied approach. The Embodiment Theory has provided the theoretical basis necessary to obtain magnificent results.
