Maryam Shadmehr

Background: I am a first year graduate student in the EMST (Education in Math, Science, and Technology) program. Back home, in Tehran, Iran, I got my B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology. Somewhere along the way I realized I would not make a very good engineer and decided to pursue my passion for the art of education. That took me to Boston College where I got my M.A. in Applied Developmental and Educational Psychology. In the past years, I have also spent some of my time tutoring and teaching math to students of different ages.
