I am a first-year MACSME Math student here at UC Berkeley. I attended the University of Washington for my undergraduate studies, and I graduated in June 2014 with a B.A. in Mathematics. After two years of graduate work, I plan on joining the work force as a high school mathematics teacher. I have always been passionate about mathematics, but I have discovered that my true joy in life comes from helping other people see beauty in the subject and encouraging them to reach beyond their perceived limits.
Other than mathematics, I am very interested in music. I have been involved with band, choir, and musical theater over the past decade, and I have truly enjoyed the experience I get from performing and the people I meet through the arts. I also love crossword, playing bridge, and developing my cooking skills.
